DS360° HDR Skies - 30k ( XXL ) - Release notes

On this page you can find the info about all published DS360° HDRI Skies - 30k (XXL) in the store.

First release is the Dutch Free 360° HDR – 024.

The basic version is a Free version and the commercial versions are available in 10k, 20k & 30k. The commercial versions have more options "on board" for flexible usage in your pipeline.

Half Float EXR ( 16 bpc ) & Full Float EXR ( 16 bpc )

All HDR's are delivered in Half Float EXR ( 16 bpc ) & Full Float EXR ( 32 bpc ) with only one exception the Dutch Free 360° HDR – 024 that will contain only the Half Float EXR ( 16 bpc ) version. The commercial packages have the Half Float EXR ( 16 bpc ) & Full Float EXR ( 32 bpc ) on board.

Tonemapped versions

Also included are Tonemapped Backdrop images  ( JPG and Half Float EXR 16 bpc ) 

The max. size of a Half Float EXR ( 16 bpc ) Backdrop image Tonemapped is 20k. There will be No Full Float EXR Backdrop image Tonemapped versions published.

Clipped Sun info

For the moment the DS360° HDR Skies - 30k ( XXL ) have clipped suns.

A extra handy option is the NoSun the availability of a NoSun EXR. With this version you have a clean sun area where a unclipped sun can be added. For example, the commercial versions of Dutch Free 360° HDR – 024 have a NoSun EXR on board.

There will eventually be unclipped version only the release time frame is unclear. After releasing a unclipped version your upgrade will be free when you have a License.

Customers who already have a official License will be notified through the back-office of this online shop ( a mail will be sended automatically after uploading a update to the back-office of this website ) with the news about a new version or the availability & direct downloads of a unclipped sun version for example.

Upcoming Releases

On schedule for later this this year are 19 ( brand new ) DS360° HDR Skies - 30k ( XXL ). Those will be released in random order. Like Dutch Free 360° HDR – 024 there will be for every sky the option to buy 10k, 20k or 30k versions only no free versions.

The plan is to publish also 30k versions of all current skies ( *) except the 11k HDR Skies ) that are already published in the store. To be honest that can take "a bit" more time.

If you would need a 30k version of a already published sky just contact me. Please note this is only for custom Licensing Projects ( Movies, games etc).

If you might need a 35k version of this new DS360° HDR Skies - 30k ( XXL ) product line just contact for the options. Please note this is only for custom Licensing Projects ( Movies, games etc).

License information Commercial versions 10k, 20k & 30k:

• A 10k HDR commercial version costs 14,99 Euro , a 20k HDR commercial version costs 29,99 Euro & a 30k HDR commercial version costs 69,99 Euro for each project.  Usage in another project would require a new License. Example - you are designing a Archviz project for a client then you need one license for the whole project. To clarify it some more: you can use it for for everything you want to use it for like interior, exterior renders, VR render for client etc. only the license is valid for the specific project.
• For any other cases like usage in games , movies, in-app usage ( so the image(s) will be redistributed by a third party ), media campaigns ( print, internet, television, bill boards etc. ) etc. just ask for the terms ( depends on the type of project ) by contacting through the form at the bottom of the FAQ/ Help page.
• If you want to use it in Educational, Open Source & Indy projects just contact, we most likely can arrange something that will benefit both sides.
